Here you have important tips to have in mind when connecting Hiru to the iPad.
- Turn on your iPad and follow these steps
- Always use the cables and adapters (Satechi hub) that are included with your Hiru, along with the original Apple charger.
- Connect the charger to the Hub, then connect the Hub to your iPad. Next, connect the USB-C cable to Hiru and the USB-A cable from the same cable to the Hub. Remember to always connect Hiru as the final step.

- Once you have connected Hiru, wait for 8-10 seconds. You should see infrared lights and the detection light on your camera. The cursor will automatically appear on your iPad.
- If you are using an adapter, remember to connect the adapter to the side of the iPad and not to Hiru. Refer to the image for clarification.
🌟 Tip: Turn off your iPad and unplug the Hiru from the iPad once a day for best use.
- Make sure to properly close the Hiru app in the App-Switcher (by swiping up) and then open the Hiru app.
- If Hiru is properly connected to the Ethernet area in the iPad settings, you will see the USB Function Filesystem instead of Hiru.
- Check that your Hiru license is activated by ensuring the iPad is connected to Wifi during the connection process.
