How to increase accuracy in iPadOS?
Do you sometimes feel that the pointer is drifting or offset? Here’s the fix.
There are many ways you can improve cursor accuracy by adjusting the settings on your iPad:
Set Snap to Item
- Instead of a pointer will appear highlight of every clickable cell. It feels like the pointer would magnetically snap to the center of any cell you dwell on.
- Check how to set up Snap to Item here
- Change the Smoothing in Assistive Touch & Hiru app
- Increase for a shaky or unstable pointer.
- Decrease if you notice lag.
- Use AutoHide
- Auto-hide makes the pointer invisible. With an invisible cursor, the user can more easily focus on the exact cell to make a click and with that avoids drifting of the cursor.
- Set it up now!
- Increase the Movement Tolerance
- A higher movement tolerance will allow for more movement after the dwell begins.
- Check positioning & calibration in the Hiru App
- Positioning and calibration are the bases of the great eye-tracking experience.
PRO TIP: Set shortcuts and widgets on the home screen to create bigger and more accessible targets.
