# How to increase accuracy in iPadOS?

## Do you sometimes feel that the pointer is drifting or offset? Here’s the fix.

There are many ways you can improve cursor accuracy by adjusting the settings on your iPad:

 

**1. Ensure that Apple's Eyetracking is switched off in iPad Settings**

-  Go to Settings \> Accessibility \>Eye Tracking\>OFF

- Instead of a pointer will appear highlight of every clickable cell. It feels like the pointer would magnetically snap to the center of any cell you dwell on.

**3. Change the [Smoothing](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7wCWgv0f9w)in Assistive Touch & Hiru app**

1. - Increase for a shaky or unstable pointer.
     - Decrease if you notice lag.

**4. Use AutoHide![](https://knowledge.irisbond.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Dec-12-2023-11-57-02-4843-AM.png?width=50&height=51&name=image-png-Dec-12-2023-11-57-02-4843-AM.png)**

- - Auto-hide makes the pointer invisible. With an invisible cursor, the user can more easily focus on the exact cell to make a click and with that avoids drifting of the cursor.

- - A higher movement tolerance will allow for more movement after the dwell begins.
