Live Speech

Live Speech allows users to type anything they want on the iPad keyboard and then say it out loud. It can be used for short, quick phrases without opening any communication app.
How to turn on the Live Speech and add it in the AssistiveTouch menu:

Go to Settings > Accessibility > Live Speech > toggle on + select the voice
Add it to the AT menu. Go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch > Assistive Touch > Customize Top Level Menu > add Live Speech

Save favorite phrases

Together with the Live Speech feature, the user can save their favorite phrases and use them immediately. In the Live Speech keyboard, click on the small flag under "Type to Speak" and select one of your favorite phrases to say out loud.

Go to Settings > Accessibility > Live Speech  > Favorite Phrases > Click on +

NOTE: With the eye gaze, unfortunately, the Snap to Item function doesn't work correctly for the keyboard while typing the message. For now is best to use Live Speech and Favorite phrases only when the screen is locked and type with the pointer.

NOTE 2: In case you want to use Live Speech on the Home Screen or any other screen, turn off the Snap to Item function completely (set it up to the hot corner) and control Live Speech with the pointer.

Word prediction

Word prediction allows to the user use predictive text on an iPad keyboard while typing in notes, in Safari, iMessage, and many more. The user can write complete sentences just with a few dwells. While writing, the iPad keyboard offers words the user would probably type, similar to what we are used to in AAC apps.

Go to Settings > General > Keyboard > Predictive > Toggle ON

Voice Control

Voice Control lets users control the entire device with spoken commands even during calls. Voice control requires a bit of training in official Apple commands, but the user can also add his own personalized commands.

Go to Settings > Accessibility > Voice Control > Toggle On > Select Language

When the Voice control is turned on, on the top right bar appears this icon:  the Voice Control icon
