Using an app with small targets? Make it easier with Accessibility Zoom!

Apple's zoom feature allows users to zoom to click on items, making small targets easy to reach.

Set it up: iPad Settings > Accessibility > Zoom (Toggle ON/OFF)

⚠️ Watch out! Once you toggle on Zoom, the screen will Zoom in according to your settings.  Double tap on the screen with three fingers to toggle it off.

⭐You can set the Zoom to follow your gaze, or stay in place, as is your preference.

⭐You can also set the Zoom to turn on when entering a certain app automatically with Automations, or turn it on and off using Control Center.

Set these important items to use Zoom:

  • Follow Focus: OFF.
  • Zoom Controller: OFF.  If you turn this on, a menu for extra controls will appear. This can be used but is not necessary.
  • Zoom Region: Full Screen Zoom.  Select Window or Region to highlight one area of the screen.  This can be challenging with eye gaze.
  • Zoom Filter: none.  Set another option as preferred
  • Maximum Zoom Level: Set in the lower half to start.  This will determine how much it will zoom.  If set too high, you may not be able to see much of the screen.
  • ⭐Zoom Pan: Edges. This is very important for eye gaze! Test out the other options for preference as needed.
